WHY RAGUSA?

A name with a history of connecting worlds.

Ragusa takes its name from Sava Vladislavić Raguzinski, a Serbian diplomat, merchant and intermediary in the service of Peter the Great.

His life unfolded across different political and cultural spaces, reflecting the kind of connections that inspire Ragusa today — dialogue across borders, exchange of knowledge and long-term cooperation between people and societies.

VLADAN GRBOVIĆ

Founder and President

Vladan is a geographer and researcher with a focus on geopolitics and international relations. He has broad experience in scientific publishing, diplomacy, and international cooperation.
He leads initiatives that promote strategic partnerships, cultural exchange, and knowledge-sharing between the Serbia, Balkans, Russia BRICS+ and beyond.
His work has been recognized through various international engagements, including academic conferences, forums, and projects aimed at fostering diverse perspectives on global affairs, as well as enhancing cultural collaboration between regions.
Driven by a passion for history, geopolitics, and international dialogue, Vladan is dedicated to building bridges between nations and contributing to a more multipolar world.

ELENA PODUST-ČIČIĆ

Deputy Director

Elena holds a degree in History and Archival Studies from Ural State University in Yekaterinburg. She has also completed additional training in professional translation, Serbian language and regional studies.She has over 15 years of professional experience in education, project management and international communication. Throughout her career, she has developed educational programmes and products from concept to implementation, coordinated teams and managed operational processes.At Ragusa Hub, she is responsible for programme development, building partnerships, organizing events and fostering connections between diverse communities.

TATJANA MARIČIĆ

Communication Specialist

Tatjana holds a Master’s degree in Political Science from the Faculty of Political Sciences at the University of Belgrade. With over seven years of experience in communications, she has worked across the non-profit sector, large corporations and the IT industry, developing a versatile approach to strategic communication, public relations and digital media.
Her professional experience spans content creation, media relations, digital communications, website management, promotional campaigns and event coordination. At Ragusa, she brings together the knowledge and skills gained across different sectors to strengthen the organization’s public presence, develop its communication strategy and promote its projects and international initiatives.

KATARINA OBRADOVIĆ

Social Media Specialist

Katarina worked in media and communications and studied at the Faculty of Creative Industries at HSE University in Moscow. Her professional experience spans video production, journalism, digital marketing and social media management.
She has also worked on music videos and documentary films, gaining hands-on experience across different stages of video production. She is the creator of the Instagram blog Glas iz Rusije (“A Voice from Russia”), where she introduces Russian culture, society and everyday life to Serbian-speaking audiences through stories and digital content.
At Ragusa Hub, she focuses on creating and developing digital content, promoting projects across social media platforms and organizing events.
