A representative of Ragusa took part in the VII Coordination Meeting of Young International Scholars, held on December 19, 2025, in Moscow, and organized by the Institute of Europe of the Russian Academy of Sciences (IE RAS) in cooperation with leading Russian academic and educational institutions.

The meeting was held in the format of a strategic session with international participation, bringing together more than 60 young researchers from over 40 research institutions and analytical centers.

The primary objective of the Coordination Meeting was to strengthen sustainable communication networks among young scholars, promote academic initiatives, encourage international cooperation, exchange best practices, and present ongoing and planned research projects. Since its launch in 2017, this platform has played an important role in fostering long-term academic dialogue and coordination among young researchers working on global and regional issues.

The event was opened by Anna K. Ivanova, Deputy Chair for International Relations of the Council of Young Scientists of IE RAS, who emphasized the importance of expanding international participation and involving young scholars in addressing challenges related to scientific and technological leadership in the international arena. Welcoming remarks were also delivered by representatives of the co-organizing institutions, including the Institute of Africa RAS, Primakov National Research Institute of World Economy and International Relations of RAS, MGIMO University, and the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation.

A significant part of the program was dedicated to presentations by international participants. Delegations from Belarus, Serbia, Mongolia, and Abkhazia shared their experiences in organizing research communities, integrating young scholars into academic institutions, and developing international research cooperation. Particular attention was paid to the exchange of best practices in self-organization, institutional development, and the involvement of young researchers in international scientific projects.

During the meeting, Ragusa presented its activities, ongoing projects, and future plans, with a special focus on international academic networking, cross-regional cooperation, and the exchange of knowledge and best practices

The Coordination Meeting concluded with discussions on future joint projects, coordinated research agendas, and long-term cooperation frameworks, including participation in upcoming conferences, roundtables, and collaborative research initiatives. The organizers highlighted the importance of maintaining and expanding this platform as a key space for dialogue among young international scholars.

Ragusa’s participation in this event represents another important step in strengthening its international academic presence and further developing cooperation between Balkan researchers and partners from Eurasia and beyond.
