Futurology is still often perceived as a kind of science fiction — which it certainly is not. Kirill Kostin, Director of the “Knowledge Hub” Center at RSUH, highlighted the scientific nature of modern futurology:
“Futurology is not a set of wishes or a visualization of fears. It is an applied tool and a fully fledged discipline that helps shape our future and influence it.”

Representatives of Ragusa also had the opportunity to present their previous work and outline their plans for the future, as well as to discuss the potential importance of BRICS for Serbia and Serbia’s importance for BRICS.
Participants of the School discussed a wide range of topics — from philosophy and economics to the social spaces of the future and space research. The shared aspiration of young scientists, experts, and civil society representatives is to enrich the BRICS format with practical projects that deliver concrete results.
